Thinking About Getting Out of Here

Wei helped me realize something today…i need to code for hyperlinks. i was only visualizing them as text, so for the 120 or so sites i’d gone thru, i was considering them AS text and completely ignoring the double layer of meaning. *sigh* the kicker was that i realized that a hyperlinked word (e.g. “Black”) had an additional (mechanical?/instrumental?)discursive layer that was an intended part of the text. it’s bad enough that hyperresearch has me dropping images from my analysis…i can’t leave hypertext out too.

so now i’m adding the code HYPERLINK and annotating each code with the appropriate hyperlinked URL. fortunately, i started by doing the smaller sites first, so this should only set me back a couple of days.
